Rachel Braun embellishes sacred texts from the Bible and Jewish liturgy in colorful symbolic needlework. She will discuss the mathematical and religious ideas embedded in the designs included in her new book, Embroidery and Sacred Text: New Designs in Judaic Needlework. Book signing will follow. Sarah Antine writes weekly poems using the Biblical narrative and other texts as stepping stones into the poem. She received an MFA from Hunter College, has shared her poems through various publications including the anthology, Torah: A Women’s Commentary, Bridges: A Jewish Feminist Journal, Lilith Magazine, The Mom Egg, and others.
